Giant Lobster!

We're waiting for the SPG who balik kampung for raya to come back so we can have some fresh fish together. Who knows they called up and said they have one lobster for the table too. Well, everytime if I hear JW caught a lobster, I know it's gonna be big. The one we caught underwater is like a little baby compare with his lobster. Yah, luckily we ate it on sunday.. else buat malu to put together with his lobster... ha ha (^_^)

Anyway...it's so HUGE that we have to call up rescue team over to help. Plus we have one tail of red snapper caught by W that we ask to make into sashimi too. How to finish? We also ordered a lot of dinner set while waiting for the Sushi Sifu to present us the lobster & fish. Again, Sanga sifu impressed us wsith his skill. I think we'll hang out a lot in this restaurant starting from now...

So, who want to be in our dinner list as rescue team... email to me. Anytime we have too much food, I'll call you up... hee heeee

Gone Diving AGAIN!

Yay! my wish came true, we went diving again on sunday. I thought we won't be going as most of the boatman are Muslim, I'm sure they wanna celebrate Raya..anyway, we got a boat on sunday!

The sky was really gloomy and it started to rain when we're driving to sematan..thought the trip will be cancel or we'll be doing murky water dive this time...When we got to the jetty the captain said..no problemo, can dive one.

We went to talang-talang area again. This trip, I think my diving skill improved as well as my photography skill. It's really not easy to take picture in the sea, especially the macro, this time I get at least ONE good macro shot of a Nudibranch. YooHoooo! so damn proud, you dunno how happy I am! (^_^) then I spotted a SHARK! not a great white lah...duh... it's just a nurse shark. Resting inside a hole...actually I saw 2, but I could only get a picture of one. because the other one is hard to reach...I don't want to get stuck on some stone/coral. Then I also spotted an Eel, they look kinda cute, like a puppet sticking out from a hole, I'm not sure if they bites, but they sure are curious, when I try to go closer,..it also get closer to me..that kinda freak my out a little..so I dive away..(^_^) dont play-play...Then I get to see a few kind of Nudibrands, the purple colored one that I always wish to see,..finally I got it. if you search on the net..there's thousand of colorful nudibranch, they're really cute and nice. OK..I've found a mission for my interest, diving + photography, I'll start to collect Nudibranch picture from Kuching dive sites... :-D

Beside the Nudibranch, I also get to see a lot of small fishes, which I don't know how to identify the names. There's so many of them.. very colorful. I've to come here more offen to see them.

Anyone interested in diving now? You can register yourself here at >)))*> Kuching Scuba. FYI, Just to let you know...scuba diving is not a cheap hobby/activities, make sure you're in for LIFE after spending so much on it! ... BORN to DIVE!!

let moi present you, my masterpiece from sunday dive....

CAN WE GO DIVING AGAIN NEXT WEEK????.....

As usual, everytime after we come back from diving, there'll be a fresh seafood dinner at night. This time we bought it to Sanga Japanese restaurant, one of my favorate japanese place. They've a good menu choice, you'll definately find something suit ur taste here and the price are reasonable especially for Sashimi...Bento set are good too. Btw, Sanga is on the same roll as Kuching Scuba Diving... I don't know the name of the street...ah I think it's Jalan Ang Chin Ann..(yah my name is in there)...if u can't find that... Sanga also have a stall on top of Tun Jugah food court.

want some? come over la...

Selamat Hari Raya

First of all... I wanna wish my Anak "Salam Raya... mane duit raya ?" hee hee...

I had a full Raya this year. We're eating from sunrise to sunset, break our record of 11 houses. Tastes all different kind of Curry, Rendang, Lemamg, ketupat, satay...satay sause.... you name it.

We woke up early in the morning on the first day of Raya, Today we're going to visit some VIPs so the dress code is formal/traditional, so I've to wear my only kebaya. I wanted to wear baju kurung, but I couldn't make a last min shopping last week. So, here come Amoi in her kebaya again.

Our first stop is to the Astana. The palaca that Charles Brooke built for his beloved wife in 1870 and it's a bridal gift to her. How Lomantic eh...This place is close for the whole year long because it's the Resident of our Tun Yang Terhormat, but it's open to public for visit on first day of Raya and may be some other special occassion i not so sure of. So remember, if you like to take a look of the Palace, go check it out next raya, do it early in the morning to beat the crowd. But we're lucky because we're tagging along Mr AJ's family so we get all this special early entry. (^_*)v

The Astana is beautiful, I like the white colored building against that morning blue sky. There's a lot of detail, the window, the door and the ceiling. It has mixture of islamic, natives element. I can't really go around to admire the beauty of this historical building...As We're in one of the meeting hall, food were ready and serve. I didn't have much because I feel very "kayu" eating in front of all this vips. It's kinda arkward... somemore I'm busy taking photos. So I'll save my tummy for later.

After the Astana, we went to the indoor stadium to Greet our Cheif Minister. The Staduim were nicely decorate, even parkson don't get the 50% of decoration they have...Anyway, it's nice to see CM in person, his white hair is really cool..when I get old I want my hair to be all that white too... hee heeee can dye it to shocking pink easily..back to the story....we visited 2 moer vip's open house after that then it's free & easy. We drove right back to town and change into something comfortable...so we can start a real feast.

Our visiting didn't end until the sun goes down... by the time we finish all the friend's house...it's already 8+pm. Then we head to our last open house at Ipanema...to close the night...then go home and sleep with tummy full of curry....

Yumm....dreaming....rendang.....curry ayam.... kurma... ketupat....lemang....
Don't ever try planning losing weight on Raya time!

I've more private picture will be upload in my facebook...visit my FB to view em.

Life Under the Sea

Hello People! I'm back. I know I've been missing in action for quite sometime. I got so lazy and didn't update my blog...hee...sorry. Now even my chatter box is gone...OK..I'll install a new one.

Yesterday I borrowed a friend's camera for our diving trip at Talang-Talang. It's been a while I go for diving, this year we didn't get to dive much because everytime they organized a trip, we always have something else planned earlier...or last min changes. Luckily I got to do at least one more dive before the season end... which is in a few weeks. Monsoon time, so no more diving until next year. That's for Kuching.

For this last trip( hopefully there'll be another after raya) we went to Talang Talang. The water is not as clear but still I get to see some real big fish, which really surprised me. I also saw a lot of Fugu fish, they're not afraid of me at all...I went so close yet it just stay still...I wanted to scare the fugu so I can see how it blow up..but, too bad.. I'm not scary enough. Then I spotted this Blue Spotted Ray hiding away...I wanted to go more closer to take picture, but when I turn back I thought I lost my dive buddy so I quickly swim and look for him. It's kinda scary when you're alone underwater...I get creepy feeling. It's worst then being alone in a dark space, at lease you know you always have air to bearth & scream for help. But underwater, if something go wrong, u can't call for help..and your air will run out...OK..I'm not gonna freak you out...afterall life is short, Diving is FUN! and car accident is more the underwater accident...

In this trip I also get to try on catching lobster, which is really fun. I nearly caught one...yah...nearly....but it escape when I was too happy wanting to show it off...OK.. next trip..I'll catch one and show off here! not when I'm still in the water,...

The most important, I got a pretty good experience with taking underwater photo, thou the camera is not so advance and I didn't use flash because I worried the battery will run out fast especially in the first dive. Tat's why all the picture came out very blue. I think next time I know what to adjust to make the photo more colorful.... OK I Need to start saving for my Nikon 70s housing & underwater flash...(>_<) Pssst...my Birthday is coming soon... in 3 months.

It was quite a relaxing trip, I feel energized & charged. After we came back from the sea, We also had some great fresh fish for an early dinner, the guys took one of the red snapper they caught & all the lobster to a restaurant at the Cowboy town of Kuching, Tondong to cook up so everyone can enjoy it. Then at night we go for 2nd round dinner, my favorate,...Sashimi. This is not tuna or salmon...it's Blue Spotted Grouper, The chinese call it "Seven Star Spot"...very good fish. I think to eat it with Sashimi style is the best way to taste the fish, it's so fresh, tender and... Oissshiiiiii!

Time Flies when Friends are around..

Sob sob.... my friends will be leaving today...

We woke up early in the morning hoping we're lucky enough to see the Orang Utan at Semenggoh because Hoyoyi wanna find a BF... hehe.. Just kididng. She's been wanting to see a real life Orang utan in the wild for a long time... We got there a little later then 9am, today there's only 4 orang utan came out to eat..which is a good sign. Because that's mean the rest know how to find food in the jungle and not depending the center to feed them. Which is the purpose of the rehabitation center.

After semenggoh...I took them to our famous Kuching LadyBoys laksa.. yum yum
Then off to downtown for a walk.

Achinawati came to join us at lunch break to be one of the cam whore. hahaha

I really enjoy them coming over here...thou we always chat on msn or sms... still nothing beat realtime hang out. I gonna miss them very much... Guess it's our turn to fly over for some hangout time... (^__^) Wait for me ya!

Touring Sarawak Culture Village

Today we're trying our luck to get into Cultural Village with our special pass. If not...each of us have to pay at least $45 to get in. Luckily the guard let us in with our sweet talk...

We're so hungry, because someone took our breakfast voucher away so we went to the village canteen to get some food... we're told they only have Laksa. ON lah.. then we wait...and wait... after 30 mins...the waitress came over...Sorry ah..no more laksa... we're still cooking U have to wait. UHh?? fine... we go catch the show first... after we done with the show...we went back asking for our laksa... What? still cooking? what a service.... off we go around the village taking picture with our empty stomach.

Although with empty stomach...we totally forgot about it when we're in front of camera...heheheh

We went back to Kuching after pick up our "Limau Picker". Then took a good nap before we head to topspot for seafood dinner. What a day...
